banana bread

• 1 1/4 c flour
• 1/2 t salt
• 1 c sugar
• 1 t soda
• 1/2 c shortening (melted butter gives the best flavor)
• 2 eggs
• 1-3 ripe bananas

sift dry ingredients

blend in the rest, fold quickly, don't overmix

put in bread pan

cook 45-60 minutes

350°

it's done when a toothpick stick in the middle comes out clean (just like a cake)
